New RAMs come with a choice of 15 wheel designs, three head- and taillamp designs, and seven grilles. Engineers included grille shutters and an air dam to improve aerodynamics. Pushing past most competitors, maximum payload has increased to 1,043 kg and top tow ratings are now 5,783 kg. With a fuel rating of 10.8 l/100 km on the highway, an eTorque V6 generates 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. For more capability, a 5.7-litre Hemi V8 kicks out 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft.
Drivers can get a long list of assistance devices. High-tech aids include a forward collision warning system, lane keeper, blind spot monitor, and adaptive cruise control. For manoeuvring, there’s a reverse collision warning system and a 360-degree camera system.
