The newest model in the 1500 series continues to deliver all the quality features Ram is known for and remains a favourite in Canada. The 2023 Ram 1500 offers eight basic trim levels and varying crew configurations. We look at the different trims and the configurations of each trim.
Available Trim Levels
We start by looking at the base trim and then move on to the next trim in the production line.
Tradesman - $51,640
The Tradesman trim starts at $51,640 and comes with a Quad or Crew cab, with either a 4x2 or 4x4 configuration. Depending on the cab type, configuration, and box size, which ranges from 1.74m to 1.95m, the starting price can rise to $62,130.
Big Horn - $55,585
The Big Horn trim starts as a Quad cab, 4x2 configuration with a 1.95m box, but you can adjust it the same as the Tradesman model. The price can increase to $64,135, and it has a choice of three engines. You can select either the Gas V-8 engine or a V-8 or V-6 Gas/Electric engine.
Sport - $68,990
Only available as a Crew cab and 4x4 configuration, you can adjust the box size from 1.74m to 1.95m, taking the price up to $74,370. From the Sports model onward, a sunroof is standard, along with the same engine choices as the Big Horn model.
Rebel - $68,345
Your Rebel model pushes your towing capacity from around 3600 kg to 5044 kg. There’s only one Rebel configuration: a 4x4 Crew cab with a 1.74m box. This model also allows Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration.
Laramie - $75,970
On the Laramie model, you can only change your box size, raising the starting price to $81,150. You can choose a Gas/Electric or Gas V-8 engine with eight-speed automatic transmission.
Longhorn - $80,940
Changing the box size from 1.74m to 1.95m ups the starting price to $82,535. It features a horsepower of up to 395 hp and torque of up to 410 lb-ft.
Limited - $85,240
The starting price can increase to $87,135, depending on the box size. A choice of Gas or Gas/Electric V8 engine is available in the smaller box configuration.
TRX - $104,895
This model delivers an Intercooled Supercharger V-8 engine using Premium Unleaded. The eight-speed automatic transmission uses TorqueFlite technology, delivering up to 702 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque.
