The Ram Classic is a reliable, value-packed pickup truck. It’s basically a Ram 1500 with the previous, 4th generation design and styling that have impressed Ram 1500 fans over the years. The Ram Classic is a reliable workhorse
The Ram Classic offers proven performance under the hood. The 3.6-litre Pentastar outputs 305 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. This is similar to the Sierra’s base engine in terms of power, but the V6 Pentastar is much more reliable than the Sierra’s flaky 2.7-litre turbo unit.
Ram Classic buyers can also choose the trust 5.7-litre Hemi V8. This unit deploys 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. This is more than the Sierra’s most common engine, the 5.3 L V8, which is limited at 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque.
On top of being able to tow up to 10,660 lb – which is at the top-end of the segment, the Ram is much more comfortable than the Sierra thanks to a suspension system that perfectly absorbs road imperfections.
Better comfort and technology inside the 2022 Ram Classic
The 2022 Ram Classic uses Ram’s super intuitive UConnect system, which is filled with features and apps to help you on the road, like a 4G WiFi hotspot, HD radio, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. GMC was never able to come up with an infotainment system that can rival the UConnect in terms of connectivity and user-friendliness.
And although the Sierra’s interior has been upgraded, it is still much less comfortable and refined compared to the Ram Classic interior.
The Ram Classic offers you plenty of performance, comfort and technology at a much better price. It is offered at a very low starting price of $33,990, whereas the Sierra starts at $36,148.
